THE BEATITUDES

Fr Michael's presentation to the adult ed class on the Beatitudes. Follow this link to find the audio and the handouts that were distributed to the class.

ORTHODOXY 101

Orthodoxy 101 was a series of classes given to catechumens at St Innocent's in the fall and winter of 2007-2008. The classes were recorded, and the audio from them is available here. Several hours of Orthodox instruction can be found here. Follow this link to find it.

The Orthodox Study Bible

We at St Innocent's are very glad for the recent publication of the Orthodox Study Bible. (If you don't have yours already, please use our shopping portal and order one on Amazon.)

In order to encourage familiarity with the Orthodox Study Bible (the OSB), Fr Michael is preparing a series of short audio lessons that look at the differences between the OSB and Catholic and Protestant Bibles, and examines some of the books of the Old Testament that are different from, or missing from, other Bibles. They're all less than 10 minutes long.

And, if you find them useful, tell someone else about them. They might be glad you did!

The audio lessons can be found here.

Fr Michael\'s talk on the Lord\'s Prayer

A 30 minute talk on the Lord's Prayer sponsored by the Mahoning Valley Orthodox Clergy Association. It was given as part of a series of brief talks on prayer at St Mark Antiochian Church in Youngstown, OH, on Sunday afternoon, 13 April 2008. (It owes much to a recent presentation by Fr Thomas Hopko, and the debt is freely and graciously acknowledged.) Click on the logo to the left for streaming audio.

Fr Patrick Henry Reardon on prayer

The Greater Cleveland Council of Orthodox Clergy was honored to have Fr Patrick Henry Reardon of All Saints Orthodox Church in Chicago to be with us and preach for Vespers on the Sunday of Orthodoxy. On the Monday morning following, Fr Patrick spoke to the GCCOC on the subject of the prayer life of a Priest. In his remarks, Fr Patrick indicated that there is little difference between the prayer life of a Priest and that of any Christian. With that in mind, and with his permission, we are posting here the main part of his presentation on prayer for the benefit of all.

Fr Patrick speaks mostly about the place of the Psalms in the life of prayer. We hope you enjoy his words as much as the clergy did when he gave them. (Click on the link below for streaming audio.)
